My take on the book:

Travelogue across Hemispheres, as the name suggests, is a collection of the beautiful places the author has travelled across the globe. The book starts with New Zealand, moving to Kashmir, then Leh-Ladakh, winter in Kashmir, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Virginia, New Jersey, and New York.

All the places described in the book are accompanied by beautiful pictures and with author’s commentary of his personal experience visiting the place. The author covers important details for those planning to visit these places without going overboard. For places like Kashmir, along with the travel experiences, the local sentiments and happenings are also included.

The road tripping life in New Zealand, the Buddhist monasteries in Leh-Ladakh along with the never-ending treks, the snowcapped Gulmarg, the caverns of Virginia, every place is vividly described by the author transporting the reader virtually, which is a success for an travel book. The places listed are not just mentioned as tourist attraction, but the author adds his personal touch to each such memory.

The only drawback I found is the author narrates all his experiences but adds them as ‘you’/’your’ to mention from the reader’s perspective which got confusing for me at places. I would recommend to pick this book if you are travel enthusiast; even otherwise it is a breezy read.

My rating:

4.5/5.
