5 Places to share your blog post after you hit publish

If you are a blogger who wants to grow audience for your blog posts, publishing your blog post and hoping it will be picked by Google SEO is not enough. While SEO is in itself a very wide topic, in this post I will share the places I share my blog posts for drawing wider audience.

  1. Goodreads – Since I mostly post book reviews on my blog, I share the link to my blog post in the review section of Goodreads once I am done reading the book. I also make sure to add the actual review on Goodreads, along with the link to my blog.
  2. Twitter(X) – While Twitter is most popular for sharing political and personal opinions and given the 140 character restriction for posting on this platform for unverified/unpaid users, most bloggers do not consider this as a platform to share their blog. But I do share link for every blog post that I publish and I also make sure to tag the author and publisher of the respective book. The reach of the blog post through Twitter grows if the people I tagged either like or retweet the original tweet, or if the tweet reached interested individuals through relevant hashtags. The blog post also garners attention through your loyal audience that are built over a period of time, as is the case with any Social Media platform.
  3. Facebook Page – Facebook Page is one more unlikely place to share your blog posts and garner audience. Along with personal profiles where we can share any content – pictures, links, videos, Facebook also has pages that you can create to have a dedicated page to post content around a specific topic. I created a Facebook page to post blog reviews and bookish content, through which I share the links of my blog posts. Facebook page also gives option to tag other pages and individuals so authors’ pages/profiles can be tagged along with adding relevant hashtags for visibility.
  4. Threads : Threads is one more Social media platform where we can share our blog posts. I like the clean interface and no-nonsense ease of sharing posts. You can share a brief synopsis for the actual post along with the blog link.
  5. BlogChatter Blogrolls: Blogchatter is one of the biggest blogging community for bloggers across India and overseas. The blogrolls feature on their website lets bloggers submit their blog post to blogroll which is then accessible to their vast community of bloggers to read and engage. While there are many ongoing campaigns bloggers can particiapte, blogrolls is the best way to get accustomed to the community activities and members’ content.
